Every cloud….. All this wetness is a bit wearing but you can feel the fungi bursting with excitement as the humidity mounts.
This Giant Puffball is at least a month earlier than any other I’ve seen in the area. My shoe was the only available object to show scale…size 11. Sadly this beast is slightly past it’s best before date otherwise it would now be displacing everything else from our fridge.
Also in full proliferation at the moment are Fairy Ring Champignons in the fields and they are also good:
