Warm-ish, wet weather has been good for mushrooms in the valley.

Grey-Spotted Amanita: allegedly edible but, inconveniently, similar to
Panthercap which is in the ‘edible-but-only-once’ category
Tawny Grisette: easy enough to identify and also allegedly edible….but in the same family as Deathcap….
Brown Birch Boletes and Birch: edible but hardly worth the bother. The Birch may be tastier (I’m not entirely kidding; the orange layer beneath the bark can be scraped off and used as a ‘flour’)
Orange Birch Bolete: what a beauty!
